It's Official! I'm Running For School Board!

---

Hi, Beaumont! I’m Kelsey Lara Wood, and I’m excited to officially introduce myself as a candidate for Beaumont Unified School District Board of Trustees, Area 3!

Beaumont isn’t just where I live — it’s home. I’m a third-generation lifelong resident, a mom with two children currently attending schools in our district, and an Elementary Education graduate. I care deeply about our schools and the community that helped shape me and is now helping shape my own children.

So, why am I running?

Because I’m a parent just like you.

I want families and students to have a strong voice at the table, and I want the best interests of our students to remain at the center of every decision we make.

My campaign is focused on supporting:

- Quality education for every student

- Strong partnerships between families, educators & staff

- Thoughtful planning as Beaumont continues to grow

- Student-centered decision making

I’m not running with a personal agenda. I’m running because I love this community, believe in the work happening in our schools, and want to help build upon that foundation for the next generation of Beaumont students.

Over the next several weeks, I’ll be out knocking on doors, meeting families, listening, and sharing more about who I am and why I’m running. I hope you’ll follow along, say hello when you see me around town, and share this page with your Beaumont friends and neighbors!

Together, we can keep Building Bright Futures.

Kelsey Lara Wood
